Get your craft on - Birthdays

Don't you think that the best birthday cards are
the ones that are hand made?
It's the thought that counts, right?
I don't have craft paper, card, or anything fancy.
But I do have a glue stick, a reel of cotton and some coloured
paper from a scrapbook.

Stick two pieces of white paper together to make it thicker,
unless you own card. Fold. Measure string across the card whilst
it's open and glue between the two pieces of paper (before it's dried) to hold it in place. Fold coloured paper over on one end, then fold over and over.
Cut your shape, you'll end up with lots just from one cut and they're already folded. Glue inner side and place so string is between, sat in the fold. Stick together. Repeat. I had lots left so I stuck some to the back folding over the top for added effect.

It might be cheap and easy but it looks dead cute on the fireplace,
especially amongst boring cards!
