It seems like eternity since I actually did a house update. Can you believe it's nearly July...which means we started decorating 11 months ago....it's almost our year anniversary of living here!
Time's flown so much, but at the same time it's been the longest 12 months we've ever experienced. We planned to have soooo much done, but with Woody being so so poorly (and did I mention, he's now got a fractured spine on top of the GBS), we weren't able to get the work done as we'd planned. But who cares, we've got the next 60 years for that!
So as I mentioned before, we had the electrics done a few weeks ago. It's been amazing since - new plug sockets and safer switches.
It also meant that the attic got a good clear out by my dear fiancée :) it looks awesome now.
We decided to buy a few little things to celebrate. We love Banksy, so this socket vinyl was perfect.
And having had the electricians remove the awful wall lights, we covered up the small holes with the jigsaw frames. I've been hoping to hang them forever, but we didn't have the space.
But most importantly, we forked out for cream wooden blinds in the living room and kitchen. I'm SO SO happy with the way they turned out!!!!
Let's just take a moment to appreciate how far we've come this past year...!

We STILL haven't got all the skirting boards on yet but that's next in the plan.
Considering everything that's happened this past year, I'm so proud of us for doing this much already!
