h2o+

After skipping breakfast recently, I had to get my chia fix another way. Thank you whoever invented the Chia Fresca!

Water • Orange Slices • Chia Seeds • Honey • Lemon Juice

My new favourite drink, and it's super healthy and hydrating!
I started by just adding fruit to water, to create infused water. You can
use any fruit for this, and you can even buy infusion flasks if you want to
go all out with it, or perhaps don't like the 'bits'.

The chia fresca originates from Mexico and South America, where they add chia seeds,
lemon and lime and sweetener to water. Chia seeds are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, even more so than flax seed, and they also contain fibre, protein, calcium, magnesium, copper, iron, and zinc. They also absorb up to 10x their weight in water, keeping you hydrated and full for longer.

Okay, the texture is a little odd if you're not used to it, but you soon do, and
it's so versatile you can mix it up however you like.
When you finish the bottle, just fill it up with water again and let it soak.

There are so many recipes, my next flavour to try is cucumber mint
